PhytoGaia – the first and only NutraIngredients-Asia Award-winning innovator in palm phytonutrients — is looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations and Supply Chain Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s daily operation. The ideal candidate should possesses skills in formulating strategy, improving operational performance and enhancing procuring material and resources processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Improves systems, processes, efficiencies, and best practices
• Manages day-to-day operations as well as the operations team and operations department
• Oversees all transportation matters such as but not limited to, arranging the movement of goods, selecting optimal transportation methods, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards to ensure timely, cost-effective, and secure transportation of products.
• Maintains good supply chain management processes, including inventory management, purchasing processes, sales, and sourcing of suppliers
• Collaborates with internal teams and external partners/authorities to resolve supply chain and logistics-related matters and issues.
• Builds and maintains robust relationships with vendors and suppliers. This involves negotiating contracts, ensuring quality standards, and timely deliveries.
• Analyzes data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
• Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Coordinates with relevant government authorities (e.g., Customs, MITI, MOH, NPRA, etc) for compliance matters including SST submissions, COO, Free Sales Certificate, Import/Export documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Involves in industry practices certification application
• Other relevant tasks and projects assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or operations management or related field.
• Experienced candidates with working experience in supply chain, operations, management and leadership.
• Detail-oriented candidate with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Goal-oriented with a sharp focus on achieving results.
• Ability to build consensus and relationship among managers, partners, and employees.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in oral and written English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin-speaking.
