Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager on matters concerning the Consultants.
  • Ensure smooth operation and provide feedback for service improvement.
  • Report on hospital operations as needed to the General Manager.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks under the General Manager.
  • Develop and formulate hospital policies and procedures.
  • Prepare feasibility studies for hospital equipment and future investments.
  • Ensure adequate manpower for services involved with customers.
  • Involved in marketing and public relations for the hospital.
  • Monitor analyses of financial performance.
  • Assist in preparing the yearly budget and management reports.
  • Liaise with vendors for repairs and equipment purchases.
  • Coordinate ad-hoc repairs of hospital equipment.
  • Assist with specifications and recommendations for new equipment purchases.
  • Identify training needs of staff and liaise with HR for development.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and MSQH standards.
  • Take corrective measures for ISO and accreditation non-conformances.
  • Ensure satisfactory performance during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals.
Job description
Hospital General Manager Responsibilities
  1. To assist the General Manager on related matters concerning the Consultants and relief of duty of General Manager in his/her absence;
  2. To ensure smooth running of related services operation and provide feedback for improvement, efficiency and effectiveness to upgrade its services;
  3. To report directly to General Manager of Hospital on all matters pertaining to hospital operations either by written or verbal reports when requested.
  4. To assist General Manager in carrying out general administrative matter.
  5. To develop and formulate policies and procedures of the standard of hospital to ensure excellence of delivery of services.
  6. To prepare proper workingissez and feasibility study is done to assess the need of the hospital equipment and new / future investment or extension program for the growth of the hospital.
  7. To assist the Human Resource services and in ensuring enough manpower to man the services especially those directly involved with customers.
  8. To actively involved in marketing and public relations plan of the hospital to ensure continuous marketing and promotion is done for new and existing services.
  9. To carry out and monitor analyses and report key aspects of financial performance.
  10. To assist the General Manager of the hospital in the preparation of yearly budget and prepare hospital management report for Management Committee Meeting.
  11. To liaise with vendors on the requirements of repairs maintenance and purchase of equipment and monitor out sourced vendor on the productivity and results of respective departments.
  12. To coordinate for any ad-hoc repairing service of hospital equipment whenever it is necessary.
  13. To assist M&E on the specification, invitation or quotation and submit recommendation to the management, with regards to the purchasing of new equipment, upgrading of the M&E installation and for in-house renovation works.
  14. To assist General Manager in identifying the training needs of staff and relate it to Human Resource and Training department for staff satisfaction and development.
  15. Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, Hôtelologiques program are implemented.
  16. Conformance to ISO 9001:2008 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard and Requirements.
  17. Prompt and effective action in taking correction and corrective measures in ISO 9001:2008 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation non-conformance report (NCR) and or opportunity for improvement (OFI).
  18. Achievement of satisfactory performance on the external and internal audits.
  19. Ensure compliance to Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures which have been adopted by Hospital.
