Operations Assistant (Sports & Events) – Baseline Sports

Reports to: Operations Manager

Baseline is an all‑in‑one platform that empowers tennis and pickleball communities through advanced tournament management, live scoring, livestreaming, and media exposure tools. Our technology streamlines operations for organizers while enhancing the experience for players and fans. We support sports events of all sizes, helping communities stay connected, efficient, and engaged.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Operations Assistant to support our daily operations and event execution. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth tournament workflows, especially in livestreaming operations and on‑ground event preparation. The position offers hybrid flexibility, with a mix of office, event site, and remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing tournaments, events, and programs organized or co‑organized by Baseline Sports.
  • Support all pre‑event preparation, including logistics, documentation, and coordination.
  • Handle inquiries related to tournaments, events, and operational matters.
  • Be present on‑site during events to assist with administration, logistics, and participant coordination.
  • Operate or support livestreaming setups for events held within or outside Baseline (training provided).
  • Manage and maintain all administrative forms and operational documents.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Event Management, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong skills in operations coordination, tournament management, and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle stakeholders and team collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment.
  • Prior experience managing or assisting with sports tournaments is a strong plus.
  • Advantage for candidates who play or have competed in pickleball, tennis, or badminton.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
