Job summary

A water treatment solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a qualified technician to ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities include compliance with health and safety standards, technical support for maintenance and repair of equipment, and data analysis of the water treatment plant. Candidates should possess a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering and be proficient in Microsoft applications, with a solid understanding of water treatment processes. The role demands strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• 100% Comply to Enviroment, Health and Safety requirement
• Provide SERVICE EXCELLENCE, general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, stock inventory, and installation of SWTS products. Troubleshooting malfunctions in equipment or processes to determine causes and solutions
• Maintaining and repairing operating equipment such as pipes, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, or other mechanical components.
• Perform instruments calibration and analyzer routine maintenance.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating bearings, changing oil filters, or replacing parts
• Collect and review operating data of the water treatment plant
• Directly report to Site Lead for day-today operation and manage site customer reporting
• Manage the site spares/consumables inventory
• Ensure good level of site housekeeping standards
• Perform general preventative maintenance on WTP equipment such as
  • Rotating equipment PM, cleaning of RO membranes and media backwash

Requirements

• Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or equivalent diploma in engineering from an accredited college Good process knowledge in water treatment, membrane technologies including RO (Reverse Osmosis), UF (Ultrafiltration) and IX (Ionic exchange) will be added advantage.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft applications
• Must be able to communicate in English for both written & verbal Fast learner and can independently execute the task
