Job summary

Skill Quotient Technologies Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support payroll operations. The role covers reviewing requests, conducting workshops with business users and IT, and ensuring end-to-end process alignment across NB, POS, and Claim systems.

You will document requirements, define UAT strategies, and coordinate test activities with IT and business teams, ensuring timely sign-off and post-deployment verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Experience in Insurance domain is preferred.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall is preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think critically and address complex business challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review enhancement requests, business problem statements, and scope related to business operations workflows, document handling, and POS functionalities.
• Facilitate discussions and requirement workshops with Business users, Finance/Actuarial, and IT stakeholders to understand current business processes and capture detailed business rules and system logic.
• Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end business journey (NB > POS > Claim) to enable effective impact analysis.
• Propose system-driven or process improvement options to reduce manual intervention while ensuring compliance.
• Document agreed business outcomes into User Requirement Documents and obtain formal sign-off.
• Participate in solution design reviews to validate alignment with business intent.
• Prepare and maintain a Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Define UAT strategy, test scope, and entry/exit criteria; ensure test coverage.
• Develop or support UAT scenarios; coordinate with Test Managers and IT teams.
• Monitor UAT progress, results, and defect trends; ensure timely closure of defects.
• Facilitate UAT sign-off and post-deployment verification with production users.
• Ensure requirements are practical and aligned with operational practices.
• Collaborate on clarification, impact analysis, test scope, and defect resolution.
• Provide accurate effort estimates for resource planning.
• Identify delivery risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Simplify and automate business processes; improve consistency and accuracy of system outcomes.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in testing approaches and delivery efficiency.
