Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to implement, monitor and maintain occupational safety and health standards across construction projects, ensuring compliance with DOSH/JKKP and OSHA while promoting a safe working environment for employees, contractors and site personnel.

The SHO will conduct risk assessments, organize toolbox talks, inspect sites, investigate incidents, maintain records, and liaise with authorities and project teams to drive continuous safety

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in OSH or related field
Registered SHO with DOSH/JKKP
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOSH/JKKP requirements
Experience in risk assessment and safety inspections
Willing to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor OSH policies at project sites
Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP and OSHA
Conduct site safety inspections and hazard identification
Perform risk assessments and recommend controls
Organise toolbox talks and safety briefings
Monitor PPE usage and safety equipment
Coordinate safety training and inductions
Prepare safety reports and documentation
Liaise with authorities and project teams on safety matters
Promote safety culture and continuous improvement
