Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Offshore Subsea Technician to enhance their offshore team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of subsea systems in collaboration with ROV crews and onshore engineers. The ideal candidate has a diploma in a relevant field, safety certifications, and at least 3 years of offshore experience dealing with subsea systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in offshore subsea installation/maintenance.
• Valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & OGUK Medical required.
• Strong familiarity with safety certificates such as HUET, H2S, Working at Height.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission subsea equipment including XTs and manifolds.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with safety and documentation procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Offshore Subsea Technician to join a high-performing offshore team. The role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of subsea systems, working closely with ROV crews and onshore engineers.

• Install, test, and commission subsea equipment: XTs, manifolds, umbilicals, control systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components
• Participate in well interventions, hydrate remediation, and integrity inspections
• Monitor subsea control systems and support ROV operations
• Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and documentation procedures

Qualifications & Certifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & OGUK Medical
• Offshore Safety Certificates: HUET, H2S, Working at Height, Rigging
• 3+ years in offshore subsea installation/maintenance
• Experience with vendors like BH, Aker, OneSubsea, TechnipFMC
• Familiarity with ROVs, IWOCS, and hydraulic systems is a plus
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to read technical drawings & schematics
