Your Job

As an Officer, Purchasing (Contract) you will be responsible for managing and executing purchasing activities in alignment with organizational policies and company goals. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

Our Team

You will be part of the Consumer & Commercial Solution Division at Molex Malaysia (MXL), working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including planning, production, delivery management, finance, warehouse & logistics, product managers, sourcing, project management, and quality teams. Externally, you will maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

What You Will Do

• Address and resolve purchasing issues such as delivery delays, quality concerns or disputes effectively, or policy breaches effectively and proactively.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Work cross‑functionally with departments including planning, production, delivery, finance, warehouse & logistics, sourcing, project management, and quality to support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Oversee the complete purchasing process from requisition and purchase orders through to delivery, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Foster strong working relationships and teamwork across departments and with external partners.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• SPM/STPM/Business Administration or relevant field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and internal collaboration.
• Self‑driven and results‑oriented with a positive attitude and a clear focus on delivery, expediting, and cost management.
• Proficient in procurement software and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of SAP procurement modules.
