Job summary

A financial organization in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to handle full sets of accounts, manage financial reporting and ensure compliance with local accounting standards. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance and have 2-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in SQL accounting systems and Microsoft Office is essential. This role offers an attractive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.

Job description

Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and Bank Reconciliation

Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Prepare management reports, cash flow, profit & loss, and balance sheet

Monitor receivables, payables, and collections to maintain healthy cash flow

Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, taxation (SST, corporate tax), and audit requirements

Oversee office administration matters such as contracts, suppliers, and general admin tasks

Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and company secretary on financial and statutory matters

Provide support to management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time

Support HR-related and Admin related functions; training preparations, meeting etc

Support projects, activities, events, and conferences when deem fit

Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

At least 2–5 years’ experience in handling full set of accounts

Proficient in SQL (SQP) accounting system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements

Detail‑oriented, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality

Independent, proactive, and able to work well in a team

Good communication, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines
