A property development company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator. The role involves developing and maintaining safety standards, conducting site inspections, and managing incident reports. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience in OSH and environmental management, as well as strong communication and documentation skills. Preference will be given to those with relevant certifications such as CESSWI/CISEC. This is a full-time opportunity in a dynamic environment.
Develop, implement, and maintain OSH policies, procedures, and office/site safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, identify hazards, and follow up on corrective actions.
Perform risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA) and verify control measures on office/site.
Manage incident and near-miss reporting, assist in investigations, and maintain safety records.
Coordinate safety inductions, toolbox briefings, and training sessions for staff and contractors.
Monitor compliance with OSH legislation, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
Support emergency preparedness and drills.
Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspection checklists, and committee records.
Ensure compliance with Department of Environment (DOE) regulations and environmental standards.
Conduct site inspections to identify environmental risks and ensure mitigation measures are applied.
Maintain and review Environmental Management Plans (EMP), soil erosion, slope, and sediment control measures.
Oversee environmental sampling/testing and ensure proper documentation of findings.
Conduct regular site inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety & environmental compliance.
Prepare technical and site reports and maintain systematic filing.
Perform any other related duties assigned by the superior.
Minimum 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in OSH and environmental management, ideally in property development or construction projects. Fresh graduates will not be considered.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practise.
Proven experience managing end-to-end OSH functions including inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and compliance.
Professional Certificate / Diploma in OSH, Environmental, or related field.
Preferably with CESSWI/CISEC/CePEOEIA certification; ISO 14001 exposure is an added advantage.
Strong inspection, reporting, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Self‑driven, proactive, and able to work independently across multiple projects.
