Key Responsibilities
- Provide and ensure a healthy environment that promotes safe practices, ensuring that clinical services delivered to customers are of the highest quality and standards. Constantly monitor and evaluate the standards of patient care and service delivery, and implement appropriate actions to improve clinical practice and patient care.
- Establish and oversee comprehensive quality assurance programs to ensure that all clinical services meet national and international standards. Regularly conduct audits and performance evaluations, utilizing data analytics to inform decision‑making and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
- Drive the development of initiatives to enhance employee productivity and operational efficiency. Collaborate with nursing managers and HR to identify staffing needs, establish evidence‑based workforce planning, and create robust in‑service education programs tailored to staff development and retention.
- Lead initiatives to improve the patient experience by systematically gathering, analyzing, and responding to patient and staff feedback. Develop and implement strategies to ensure that patient care meets the highest satisfaction levels, adapting practices as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Take a proactive role in advocating for and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines, and accreditation standards. Work closely with regulatory bodies to navigate compliance challenges and advocate for necessary changes to enhance patient care.
- Take the lead in strategic planning and resource allocation for the Nursing Division, ensuring budget adherence while maximizing resource utilization. Design and execute cost‑effective projects that promote operational excellence without compromising the quality of care.
- Prioritize the health and safety of staff and patients by implementing comprehensive risk management strategies. Develop training and awareness programs that support a culture of safety, preparing staff to identify and mitigate potential hazards effectively.
Requirements
- State registered nurse with Diploma / Degree/ Master in Nursing
- Has a valid Annual Practising Certificate; post‑basic certification is an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years of clinical / nursing experience in the related field, including 5 years in a senior management nursing team of tertiary healthcare facility is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Has experience in managing customers/patients, doctors and subordinates in complex situations to achieve optimum results.
- Able to initiate and build synergistic working relationships with stakeholders within and outside of own department and business unit.
