Job description

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Nursery Supervisor to manage and control large‑scale nursery operations. The role focuses on producing healthy, uniform, and high‑quality eucalyptus seedlings to meet plantation planting schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of a centralized nursery
• Oversee seedling production processes (sowing, transplanting, clonal handling if applicable, hardening, and dispatch)
• Ensure uniform growth, quality control, and target specifications of seedlings
• Manage irrigation, fertilization, media preparation, and shading systems
• Monitor and control pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Plan production schedules in line with plantation demand and delivery timelines
• Supervise nursery workers, allocate tasks, and monitor productivity
• Maintain accurate nursery records (production, mortality, inputs, and dispatch)
• Ensure nursery hygiene, safety standards, and best management practices are followed
• Report operational performance and issues to management

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Forestry, Agriculture, Plantation Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in forestry or plantation nursery operations
• Experience with commercial nursery operations is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of centralized nursery systems and large‑volume seedling production
• Familiar with fertilization programs, irrigation systems, and disease control
• Strong supervisory and people‑management skills
• Able to work independently and hands‑on when required
• Physically fit and willing to work in nursery conditions
