Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Malaysia is looking for a project manager to oversee NPI projects ensuring timely implementation and effective team management. Job description

Lead and manage project team to ensure timely implementation of NPI project.

Lead trial production planning for new products, developTrial Production Risk AssessmentandProcess Parameter Validation Matrix, ensuring pre-trial equipment, tooling, and material readiness rate ≥98%.

Execute pilot runs per APQP (e.g., first article validation, small-batch ramp-up), monitor key metrics, and achieve first-pass yield (FPY) ≥90% during initial mass production.

Review customer drawings, bill of materials and specifications.

Develop process flow, bill of material, and process drawing for new product.

Lead to resolve any technical issues arise during product development stage.

Develop, analyze, and record permanent solution for any problem encountered during project implementation.

Design and develop new jig and fixture for new product and process improvement.

Ensure availability and reliability of project/order file such as technical document, specifications, BOM etc.

CompileTrial Issue Tracking List, collaborate with R&D for design changes (e.g., BOM updates, tolerance adjustments), and ensure design freeze status meets standards before mass production.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic) or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field

Minimum 5 years in managerial role if application for manager position.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering – Electronics/Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.

familiarity with IATF 16949 will add advantage

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese/English for bilingual technical documentation and participation in global technical reviews for oversea customer.
