Job summary

Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity to work with a company based in Juru / Penang Science Park as we are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to lead and support new product introduction projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze technical drawings with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide on-site support for customer rework activities.
  • Follow up on First Article (FA) parts and prepare FAIR (First Article Inspection Report).
  • Address customer complaints and deliver effective service solutions.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings as required.
  • Prepare RFQ documents.
  • Generate ECN for revision updates.
  • Develop costing for awarded parts and update item sourcing information.
  • Prepare Technical Queries (TQ), Process Control Plans (PCP), and PFMEA for awarded parts.
  • Source new items, parts, and materials as needed.
  • Conduct cost reviews and implement necessary revisions.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience, preferably with knowledge in die casting or sheet metal processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Skilled in interpreting and creating 2D and 3D technical drawings.
  • Capable of problem-solving using a fact-based decision-making approach.
  • Basic experience with SolidWorks and CAD software is required.
  • This role is based in Juru.
