Overview
An exciting opportunity to work with a company based in Juru / Penang Science Park as we are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to lead and support new product introduction projects from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide on-site support for customer rework activities.
- Follow up on First Article (FA) parts and prepare FAIR (First Article Inspection Report).
- Address customer complaints and deliver effective service solutions.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings as required.
- Prepare RFQ documents.
- Generate ECN for revision updates.
- Develop costing for awarded parts and update item sourcing information.
- Prepare Technical Queries (TQ), Process Control Plans (PCP), and PFMEA for awarded parts.
- Source new items, parts, and materials as needed.
- Conduct cost reviews and implement necessary revisions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience, preferably with knowledge in die casting or sheet metal processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Skilled in interpreting and creating 2D and 3D technical drawings.
- Capable of problem-solving using a fact-based decision-making approach.
- Basic experience with SolidWorks and CAD software is required.
- This role is based in Juru.
