The Batavia Park District was established in 1969 through voter referendum. Since its establishment, the Park District maintains and operates approximately 400 acres, comprised of 40 sites, an in‑line skating/skateboarding park, a unique aquatic facility, a museum and a multitude of baseball and soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts. The Park District offers nearly 2,000 programs each year and serves roughly 95,000 participants through various recreational, arts, and environmental programs. Responsible for instructing children in academic, recreational, and social/emotional activities within thematic units of study to complement and enhance the enrichment curriculum.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, Type 3 or Type 10 ISBOE certification and 2-4 years of experience working with children preferably at the early childhood level.
Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt position
Hours: Monday – Friday AM position hours 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
PM position hours 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Pay Range: $21.00 – $26.00 DOQ
Part‑Time; paid time off; district program discounts/benefits and Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible for employees working 1000 hours or more annually, Family Pass for Hall Quarry Pass, Up to $1000 household credit for In‑House programs, Unlimited fitness and yoga classes.
