Job summary

Pantheon Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Advanced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage industrial network security. You will operate security appliances (Palo Alto, Fortigate, Cisco), apply DevOps practices, and align security posture with policy standards.

You will support global operations, coordinate with Cybersecurity and Projects, and contribute to proactive threat mitigation, vulnerability management, and 24/7 on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting global operations or stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 24 x 7 on-call support (1 week rotation).
• Overtime required on ad-hoc basis for working beyond scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security strategies across industrial networks - internal and external connections.
• Research and recommend industry best practices and emerging technologies in network security.

Network Security Engineer - Advanced Level

As an IIT Network Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, engineering, and managing the Industrial Control systems security posture. You will ensure that the network infrastructure aligns with corporate and industrial security policies and standards, protecting against evolving cyber threats. This role involves operating and maintaining key security technologies—such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other advanced controls—while applying DevOps principles to drive automation, scalability, and resilience.

Key responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage network security strategies across the industrial networks - internal and external connections

Research and recommend industry best practices and emerging technologies in network security

Operate and maintain security appliances (Palo Alto, Fortigate), including upgrades and patching

Build and manage network security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools

Contribute to the Zero-Ops vision by developing solutions that reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency

Support security operations: monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management

About you

Proficient with security platforms: Palo Alto (Firewall, Panorama), Fortigate (Firewall, FortiManager), Cisco (ASA, FTD, FMC)

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching, ACLs

Familiarity with security technologies: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, vulnerability management, and incident response

5 to 10 years of relevant experience

Experience supporting global operations or stakeholders

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

24 x 7 on-call support (1 week rotation, approximately 4-5 weeks rotation cycle)

Overtime required on ad-hoc basis for working beyond scheduled working hours
