A multinational healthcare company is seeking a Network Reliability Engineer in Petaling Jaya to enhance its global network infrastructure. The successful candidate will implement and manage data network solutions for Roche affiliates, demonstrating expertise in LAN, WAN, and Wireless technologies. We seek a dedicated and creative Network Reliability Engineer (Data Network Specialist) to support our internal consumers in defining the optimum solutions to fulfill their needs. You will be leading and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure for Roche affiliates globally, with focus on the APAC region.
Our network is vast. It connects over 100,000 users. It spans more than 15,000 devices. We use the latest in LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center LAN technologies. Help us support and grow the Roche Corporate Network.

Acts as a Data Network Management Services liaison to our consumers (Roche affiliates)
Implement data network solutions based on our engineering standards
Supports and coordinates Roche affiliates network requests and changes
Coordinates engagement with Roche vendors and third party suppliers . Collaborates both, with internal parties as well as external providers on projects, escalations and resolutions of problems
Drive innovation through cutting-edge technologies and push forward our commitment to excellence and improvement
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalen. 5+ years working experience as a network engineer on supporting and implementing complex data networks (LAN, WAN, and Wireless LAN)
Professional network certification (CCNP) or equivalent technical expertise . Experience on working with external vendors and service providers (telecom carriers)
Good understanding of global WAN, LAN and related routing/switching protocols . Working knowledge of security devices, such as firewalls, proxies and VPNs . Knowledge of ITIL as a model for operations support
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an asset
Additional Requirements: Open to flexible working hours and occasional overtime . Ability to work and collaborate in virtual team. Comfortable to communicate with stakeholders, vendors and colleagues across different geographies
