Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Network Engineer to configure and install IP network devices, provide Level-2 support, and liaise with vendors. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a focus on network engineering and strong knowledge of routing protocols and switch functions. CCNP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install IP network devices and services.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Configure and install various IP network devices and services, mainly routers and switches.
• Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues.
• Liaise with vendors for network device related issue.
• Conduct testing with customer and provider to isolate the issue.
• Regular update of the changes of the network into documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.
• Strong knowledge with routing protocols (Static, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Strong knowledge with the switch function (VLAN, spanning tree).
• Having experience with Cisco and Juniper device is an advantage.
• Working experience with ISP would be added advantage.
• Candidate with CCNP is preferred.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
