The incumbent of this role will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of the organization’s network infrastructure for supporting the business, and also to safeguard the security of the organization’s IT community and environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the aspects of the network, security, patch management, and end-point protection technology trend and stay on the top of the latest technological progress to make the best for business recommendations.
- Strategizes network and security refreshment exercise taking into consideration business needs, user productivity, and device performance matters for the preparation of AOP.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather IT requirements and to ensure that post-live operations, maintenance and support are incorporated.
- Collaborate with other Units, other Functions and third parties in annual security posture assessment exercise to ensure closure for all security gaps discovered by the respective custodians within the committed timeline.
- Communicates with stakeholders for projected business growth to ensure the network is operating at optimum performance for the business.
- Establishes Level 2 maintenance and support contract with network and security vendors that incorporates service level and scheduled maintenance to maximize the availability, reliability and integrity of the apps.
- Assist with the Team's budget for AOP that incorporates apps requirements from stakeholders to facilitate their business plans.
- Executes incident management process to minimize disruption to network-dependent business activities or user productivity and to prevent or minimize recurrence.
- Attends to approved service requests registered in Helpdesk System to minimize waiting time and user dissatisfaction.
- Prepares and timely updates ISO procedures and Online Guides to ensure procedures are accurate and up-to-date, consequently standardizing the support and steps respectively.
- Keeps abreast of global cybersecurity happenings and understanding the impact of threats, hence always on the alert for possible cyberattacks.
- On-call rotation for support outside of normal business hours as well as, occasionally requiring being available to perform maintenance during non-business hours and over weekends, and availability for occasional outstation trips
Requirements:
- Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software / System Engineering or Network or equivalent
- Minimum 3-years of experience as network and security administrator, and support role
- Experience in Cloud technology, server administration, Windows/Linux administrator, desktop/laptop computer support, and project management will have an added advantage.
