Job summary

YCP Group, a Singapore-headquartered management consulting firm, invites an Associate for its SEA Strategy & Management Consulting practice based in Kuala Lumpur. You will own significant workstreams within client engagements and lead analytical efforts to deliver strategic recommendations.

You will gain autonomy, client-facing responsibility, and opportunities to progress toward partnership within a globally connected network across Asia and Japan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university (MBA or master’s degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, audit, law, or corporate strategy.
• English at business level or above.
• Native-level proficiency in an Asian language (Japanese, Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, etc.).
• Hypothesis-driven problem-solving ability and clear structured thinking.
• Team leadership and willingness to develop junior members.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more workstreams within client engagements.
• Develop hypotheses, design analytical frameworks, and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Lead client meetings and workshops (including facilitation).
• Guide, review, and mentor Analysts.
• Support proposal writing and scoping documents.

Position Overview

Asan Associate, you will own significant workstreams within clientengagements and serve as the analytical leader on projects. Required Qualifications

• Big 4 consulting experience or strategy firm experience preferred

• English at business level or above

• Team leadership and willingness to develop junior members

Preferred Qualifications

• Strategy consulting experience at MBB, Big 4, or a recognized xboutique firm

• M&A advisory or due diligence experience

• Professional qualifications (CPA, Bar admission, CFA, etc.)

• Project experience in Asian markets, particularly Southeast Asia

• Deep knowledge in a specific industry (manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, consumer goods, PE, etc.)

Interview process comprises of 4 rounds of interview.
