Job summary

Seven Retail Group is launching a new music enrichment centre in Subang Jaya, Selangor, seeking skilled instructors in piano, voice, guitar, and drums. You will teach one-on-one or small groups, guiding students through graded exams and enjoyable skill-building, with ongoing training and flexible hours.

We welcome applicants with Grade 8 or higher qualifications, a music degree, and Yamaha teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 8 or equivalent in primary instrument/voice.
• Degree or Diploma in Music preferred.
• Experience or certifications in music teaching encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one or small-group lessons across piano, vocal, guitar and drums.

Job Description:
We are building a new music enrichment centre opening across Selangor, starting in Subang Jaya, and we're looking for skilled, patient instructors across piano, vocal, guitar, and drums to join our founding team. You'll be delivering one-on-one or small-group lessons across various levels, preparing students for graded exams as well as teaching for general enjoyment and skill-building.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Grade 8 (or equivalent) in your primary instrument/voice under a recognized syllabus (e.g. ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool), or a Degree/Diploma in Music

Strong proficiency and expertise in the instrument(s) you'll be teaching

Yamaha Teaching Experience is preferred

Teaching experience preferred but not mandatory

Additional certifications will be a plus (e.g. higher diploma/ARSM/LRSM-level qualifications, music theory teaching credentials, sound engineering/arranging background)

Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt teaching style to different ages and skill levels
