Overview
As an Expert-Level Murex Technical Business Analyst, you will lead the analysis, design, and delivery of solutions across trading, risk, and operations modules within the Murex platform. You will act as a bridge between business analysts and technical teams, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant implementations.
Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders and business analysts across Business Units, risk, and operations to gather and analyse requirements.
- Translate business needs and functional specifications into technical design documents.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives and change requests.
- Lead configuration and customization of Murex modules (e.g., MxML, MxG2000, Datamart, Market Data, Simulation, Workflow).
- Provide expert-level support in trade booking, pricing, risk analytics, and P&L reporting.
- Collaborate with Murex vendor and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
- Validate Murex configurations and interfaces through test case creation and execution.
- Support defect triage and resolution across environments.
- Design and validate interfaces with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data providers, settlement systems).
- Support data migration, reconciliation, and environment setup activities.
- Support project downstream integration tracking and technical reporting.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
Skills
Must have
- 5+ years of experience in application functionality, preferably in the banking/treasury industry.
- Experience MX3.1 (Front Office: FXMM, Fixed Income, Equities Product Knowledge, Middle Office Risk: MLC, VaR & Market Data, Back Office & datamart modules.
- Experienced in end-to-end flow, including life cycle flows of the trades.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in Treasury products.
- Experienced in the configuration of the Murex applications.
- Murex Application MX3.1.
- SQL Experienced in coding and programming.
- Murex Datamart Configuration & Development.
- MxML data dictionary for workflows and templates.
- OSP configurations.
- Pre-trade rules.
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, risk management, and regulatory reporting. (e.g., FRTB, EMIR, MiFID).
- Experience working with front-office, risk, and operations stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL, XML, Unix/Linux scripting, and job scheduling tools.
- Experience with integration protocols (MQ, FpML, REST/SOAP APIs).
- Experience in Murex 3.1 as DataMart and MxML Consultant with more than 2 to 6 years of experience is required.
- Good understanding and working experience ofdesigning and implementing Datamart and MxML.
- Good understanding on the data model differences between Mx 2.11 and Mx 3.1.
- Experience in Simulation-based Reports and Risk Matrix-based reports, complex reports would be required.
