Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform electrical, instrument and mechanical maintenance at the plant on a reactive and preventative basis. The role requires good 5S practice, effective communication, and adherence to HSE requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining spare parts inventory, reducing downtime (MDT/MTBF), diagnosing and rectifying breakdowns across production, facility, R&D and logistic equipment, recording work in JOC and daily checklists, and complying with

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Professional Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Good technical background with maintenance equipment and facility experience.
• Minimum 1 year of strong working experience in the related field.
• Able to read and interpret machine drawings, electrical/electronics drawings and service manuals.
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical machines and their controllers.
• Capable of installing/diagnosing rotating machines, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Willing to work on shift and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive attitude with analytical problem-solving and initiative to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical, instrument and mechanical maintenance to the plant on a reactive and preventative basis.
• Assist maintain machine spare part inventory.
• Improve downtime by complying with MDT and MTBF.
• Perform breakdown diagnosis and rectification on production, facility, R&D and logistic equipment.
• Execute maintenance duties as directed by superior.
• Respond quickly during emergencies and machine breakdowns.
• Communicate status of parts and equipment across shifts via verbal and written means.
• Record machine breakdown work in the communication book and JOC.
• Ensure daily checklists are recorded and procedures followed.
• Comply with company procedures, rules and regulations.
• Carry out multitask duties to improve quality and productivity.
• Undertake any other ad hoc duties as instructed by superior.
