• Certificates in vehicles Mechanical and Engineering or related field. Certificate from Malaysian Automotive Schools is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years (Senior Mechanic) and 1 year (Junior Mechanic) relevant work experience in Automotive Motorcycle industry.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of efficiency.
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment with positive working attitude.

Responsibilities

• Fit, install, maintain, service and repair engines and mechanical equipment of motorcycles.
• Perform detailed checklist inspections.
• Determine condition of motorcycles by identifying technical and safety concerns.
• Conduct stationary tests and road tests on each motorcycle.
• Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts.
• Replacing engine components or complete engines.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services like oil changes and lubrications.

Responsibilities

• Motor vehicle mechanics and repairers fit, install, maintain, service and repair engines and the mechanical and related equipment of motorcycles and other motor vehicles.
• Having a keen eye for detail whilst performing detailed checklist inspections.
• Ability to determine the condition of each motorcycle by identifying technical issues, mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Performing stationary tests and road tests to check the overall health of each motorcycle.
• Tasks include –
  • Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts;
  • Fitting, examining, testing and servicing motor vehicle and motorcycle engines;
  • Replacing engine components or complete engines;
  • Fitting, examining, adjusting, dismantling, rebuilding and replacing defective parts of motor vehicles;
  • Installing or adjusting motors and brakes, and adjusting steering or other parts of motor vehicles;
  • installing, adjusting, servicing and replacing mechatronics components of motor vehicles;
  • Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations;
  • Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
