Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a skilled technician for electrical or mechanical troubleshooting in the manufacturing environment. You will dismantle, repair, install and calibrate equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to improve tool performance.

The role involves data monitoring, reporting on system failures, and collaborating with Module Engineering to implement experiments and configuration changes. On-site work in Bayan Lepas, Penang or Kulim, Kedah is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Works in 12-hour shift with day/night rotation; able to stand long hours; willing to OT during festivals/holidays.

Job Description

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings. Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs when needed. Monitors and analyses all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues. Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance. Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures. Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions. During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted predesigns.

This role offers a one year contract with the opportunity for an additional one year extension. There is also potential for conversion to a permanent position, subject to business needs and strong candidate performance. Work location is in Bayan Lepas, Penang or Kulim, Kedah.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related technical field
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience preferred Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply Work in shift - 12 hours with rotation day and night weekly Able to stand long during working hours Able to support OT when needed during festival and holiday seasons

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance
• Familiarity with technical documentation and procedures
