Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Penta Consultancy Sdn. Bhd is seeking a senior Android developer in Kuala Lumpur to own end-to-end mobile projects.

You will work closely with technical teams during sprint planning, deliver native Android applications, and provide UAT and production support across releases. The role requires 5+ years of Android experience, strong Java/Kotlin skills, Firebase, and security practices, with proven app publishing experience on App Store/Google Play/Huawei App Gallery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years native Android development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, Firebase, and Adobe Analytics.
• Minimum 2 years of secure coding practices and security implementation.
• Experience publishing mobile apps to App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery.
• Minimum 2 years of MSSQL / SQL development.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end application delivery, including requirements gathering, estimation, development, testing support, deployment, and post-production activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams during sprint planning and user story walkthroughs by providing technical feedback and recommendations.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain native mobile applications to ensure performance, stability, and scalability.
• Provide UAT and production support by troubleshooting issues and implementing fixes.
• Support monthly patching activities, disaster recovery drills, and other technical maintenance tasks as required.
• Optimize code to improve stability, performance, and workload efficiency.
• Support audits, security findings, and technical initiatives to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintain proper technical documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Explore and evaluate new technologies, conduct POCs, and recommend improvements.
• Guide and mentor junior developers through code reviews and peer programming.
