Job summary

Gen Malaysia is seeking a Manager for MLOps Engineering to lead the next generation of MoneyLion's ML platform and infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur. You will guide a team of MLOps engineers, collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and AI Engineers, and drive scalable ML deployment, governance, and cost optimization in production.

The role requires strong software fundamentals, hands-on Kubernetes (preferably EKS), Python/Java/SQL proficiency, and experience with MLOps tools such as DVC,

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams of software developers.
• Strong software fundamentals and enterprise-grade code practices.
• Experience deploying and managing data pipelines and ML models at scale.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, preferably EKS, in production.
• Experience evaluating new technologies to improve performance and cost.
• Proficient in Python, Java, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of MLOps engineers in research, design and prototyping.
• Improve automation in development and deployment of ML solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and AI Engineers to streamline workflows.
• Ensure platform monitoring and governance for ML models in production.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure cost management and reporting.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud platforms.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents.
