Qualifications

• University degree in IT or related field
• 5+ years of experience as Migration Lead in Telco Domain
• Telco Charging & Billing Migration Experience
• Data modelling and analysis techniques.
• Possess good understanding and hands on experience in ETL tools.
• Must have prior experience in leading and managing minimum 2 large data migration activity in Telco Domain

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct workshops with stakeholder and work with Project Managers to put together migration plans
• Create a plan of all activities and tasks required to populate the new solutions with all current and historical data necessary for the correct operation of the solutions.
• Develop associated resource requirements to implement the plan within the framework and constraints of the overall programme plan and project plans.
• Monitor and report progress of the data migration plan at project level.
• Identify if there are issues and risks for the data migration activities.
• To identify mitigation plan for the risk discovered.
• Manage and co-ordinate activities for the ETL engineers to perform the data migration.
• Design a quality management scheme and plan for data migration activities including validation of loaded data to ensure the maximum efficiency and accuracy of data populated within the new solution.
• Create and maintain a progress tracker for all data migration activities and stages.
• Presentation of plans and progress to project and programme boards.
• Work with the Architecture and the PMO team to develop and document a standard data migration approach.
• Collaborate with vendor to define migration strategy and approach of data cleansing, data extraction, data transformation, data mapping activities required by legacy systems and monitor progress of these activities. Not limited to below:
• Manage the Data extraction mechanism from the source systems with 3rd party
• Manage changes to existing source systems with 3rd party
• Manage the delivery of Data Migration Mapping Document
• Collaborate with vendor to ensure data integrity, data availability, data consistency, while improving data quality during the entire migration duration.
• Review & govern the migration rollout plan and identify risks of migration strategy.
• Review & govern the data migration approach and ensure the key activities have been planned out and executed.
• Ensure all business and legal requirements are gathered for data migration.
• Resources arrangement for impacted platform SME & 3rd party vendors for migration activities.
• Review freeze periods (if any) and recommend processes that is required to minimize business disruptions.
• Collaborate with vendor to define & govern cutover and rollback process.
• Review and agree cutover reports.
• Define & govern the dry run and pilot test plan to identify the cutover risks.
