A technology firm in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for launching new products and preparing inspection reports. Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience and at least 2 years in a related field. Key responsibilities include evaluating samples, developing quality plans, and assisting with FMEA. This position requires strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
1. Work with cross function departmen launching NPI.
2. Evaluate new product sample follow to customer specification.
3. Responsible to prepare Products Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), Cp, Cpk (Process Capability).
4. Prepare Work Instruction and "Do and Don't" criteria for IPQA and OQA use for mass production buy off.
5. Responsible to prepare quality assurance plan, quality control processes / procedures for all the projects.
6. Assist with Product / Process Engineer & Production Supervisor to prepare FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) & MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) for all products.
7. To verify and confirm customer reject return sample and prepare disposition report (RMA).
Job Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or relevant working experience.
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Must be able to perform CMM (Mitutoyo/Aberlink) programming.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Mature in personality and positive working attitude.
