Qualifications & Experience

• Institute of Technical College or Polytechnic in welding.
• Able to perform TIG / MIG welding.
• 2 years’ experience welding of sheet metal in a metal production manufacturing environment
• Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Candidates must possess at least Diploma
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawing.
• Ability to recognize weld symbols.
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
• Knowledge on Safety & quality awareness
• Self-driven and self-motivated, pleasant personality and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components such as panel, hollow, and frame.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Take and read measurements.
• Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency
• Set up components for welding.
• Align components using callipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Report damages on machines and equipment
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
