Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Kuala Selangor is seeking a sales associate to oversee business improvement projects for GrabFood. The role involves presenting dine-in deals to merchants, conducting market research, and managing contracts through CRM tools. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, be organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience is necessary, although experience in the F&B industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Professional certifications acceptable, with no required experience but a plus for F&B industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Present and sell GrabFood’s Dine‑in Deals to merchants.

Overseeing areas in Klang Valley with high potential of business growth with a focus on dine‑in business improvement projects to create value for both merchants and GrabFood Malaysia. This role will be reporting to the Omnicommerce & Merchant Growth Assistant Manager

Day‑to‑day activities:
  • Present, promote and sell GrabFood’s Dine‑in Deals and offline solutions to new, existing and prospective merchants
  • Responsible for contract review with merchants and contract submission via CRM tools
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Work closely with the team leader to execute acquisition strategies and initiatives
  • Drive growth of selected areas, measured by target deliveries
Must haves:
  • Any professional certifications is acceptable
  • Years of experience: None - 2 years (Previous sales experience and account management is a plus, but not required). Experience in F&B industry is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Ability to speak in other dialects such as Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs
