Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks a Medical Science Liaison in Malaysia to advance science and standards of care. This field-based role engages with KOLs and healthcare professionals to communicate scientific information about Abbott’s products in a non-promotional manner, compliant with regulations.

The MSL will support clinical studies, educational initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration, while maintaining scientific independence and integrity across activities in the assigned

Competenze

• Degree or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the therapeutic area and in medical research.
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs' role in advancing objectives.
• Demonstrated expertise in scientific methods for clinical research and regulatory controls.
• Ability to quickly learn new subject areas and environments.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills; ability to engage with stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English is desirable.
• High customer orientation and commitment to compliance with rules and scientific integrity.

Mansioni

• Provide scientific and technical leadership to maintain relationships with key thought leaders and external experts.
• Ensure strong medical presence by facilitating research and educational initiatives and providing information on Abbott medicines.
• Support internal teams with scientific updates and education to enhance expertise.
• Initiate, oversee and follow up on clinical studies and medical projects in the assigned therapeutic area.
• Serve as contact with thought leaders to facilitate IIS ideas and support requests to medical teams.
• Deliver credible scientific presentations to physicians and thought leaders when requested.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify qualified thought leaders for collaboration.
• Facilitate medical field intelligence and communicate findings to Abbott teams.
• Assist physicians with access to Abbott medicines on named patient or compassionate use where allowed.
• Ensure all activities comply with laws, regulations, and Abbott policies.
