Job summary

Zuellig Pharma is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to act as a scientific partner for Health Care Providers, delivering accurate, ethical information within local regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute medical strategies and enhance internal stakeholder capabilities in focused therapeutic areas.

You will develop KOL profiles, analyze clinical data and practice patterns, and contribute to medical education activities, conferences, and brand plans while upholding

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree (BPharm/MPharm/PharmD), Medical degree (MBBS/MD/MBBChBAO) or PhD in Life Sciences.
• Territory mobility: based in Klang Valley; travel up to 80% in-field with some travel outside KL.
• Excellent clinical presentation and English proficiency.

Purpose Of The Role

Medical Science Liaison is a critical member of the Medical Affairs Team who acts as a strategic partner to provide field-based resource for Health Care Providers (HCPs) delivering the scientific information that they require in the context of their work, in accordance and compliance to local laws, regulations and codes of practice or SOPs on the focused therapeutic categories in a timely, accurate and ethical manner.

The MSL works to execute the medical strategies of the Brand Plan in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues and to provide medical and scientific support for building of internal stakeholder capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Perform as scientific expert in the key therapeutic categories for external stakeholders. Share on label data with HCPs, discussing all aspects of the data in a scientific, objective and balanced way.
• Build and maintain trustful partnerships with healthcare professionals, decision makers and KOLs, in order to improve patient care.
• Develop Key Opinion Leader profiling and analyzing HCP practices, needs, preferences and views of therapeutic portfolio data and acquire HCP perspectives on competitive compounds/ clinical studies.
• Contribute and support the clinical data generation, patient access to innovative medication, the scientific communication with key stakeholders and execution of the local medical plans within the allocated therapeutic areas.
• Support cross functional stakeholders especially in medical education activities, sales conference meeting and brand strategic plan, by presenting medical insights and suggestion on the current medical situation from patient, clinicians and scientific perspectives.
• Initiate and conduct impactful internal training & development on information regarding current clinical data and emerging trends in medical practice within therapeutic categories.

Must-Have

• Educational Credentials: Pharmacy Degree (BPharm/MPharm/PharmD), Medical Degree (MBBS/MD/MBBChBAO), or PhD in Life Sciences.
• Territory Mobility: Based in Klang Valley; willing and able to travel (80% in the field, including 20% outside of KL).
• Communication: Exceptional clinical presentation, scientific storytelling, and English proficiency.

Advantage To Have

• 1+ years of experience in Medical Affairs / Ethical Pharma.
• Direct therapeutic experience in Diabetes, Endocrinology, or Cardiology.
