Role Summary
The Medical Nutrition Liaison (MNL) is responsible for developing strong, ethical, and science‑based relationships with Paediatricians and Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (O&G). The role focuses on providing credible nutrition information, managing field operations, coordinating medical events, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal ethical standards. This position plays a key role in supporting healthcare professionals while ensuring operational excellence in stock management, agreements, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement
- Conduct regular, ethical scientific visits to Paediatricians and O&G specialists.
- Build and sustain strong professional relationships with HCPs.
- Deliver accurate, evidence‑based nutrition and product information.
- Identify territory opportunities while ensuring strict compliance with ethical marketing guidelines.
2. Space Rental Agreement Management
- Handle and coordinate clinic/hospital space rental agreements.
- Monitor renewal timelines, ensure proper documentation, and maintain compliance with internal policies.
- Liaise with internal departments to process approvals, payments, and contract tracking.
3. Stock & Purchase Management
- Manage and monitor stock levels for ethical line products, samples, and merchandising materials.
- Plan and coordinate timely ordering, replenishment, and distribution to designated territories.
- Track inventory movement and escalate issues (shortage, expiry risk, discrepancies) when necessary.
4. Reporting & Data Tracking
- Prepare timely and accurate reports for sales activities, market insights, and HCP engagement.
- Maintain detailed visitation records, contract logs, and event documentation.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide field feedback to internal stakeholders.
5. Medical Events & Scientific Activities
- Organize and support medical round table discussions, in‑clinic educational sessions, and workshops.
- Coordinate company participation in medical conferences and scientific congresses.
- Manage logistics, speaker arrangements, event materials, and post‑event evaluations.
- Ensure all activities adhere strictly to ethical and regulatory requirements.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, medical, supply chain, and finance teams to support initiatives.
- Provide insights to help shape strategies for maternal and paediatric nutrition.
- Support execution of scientific programs, educational materials, and field campaigns.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Experience in medical liaison, healthcare engagement, nutrition, or pharmaceutical field is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail, especially for reports and inventory tracking.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage territory planning independently.
- Familiarity with ethical marketing and compliance for healthcare industries is preferred.
