The Mechanical Technician oversees the maintenance, repair, and improvement of mechanical equipment and facilities, while supporting safety, production, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee machines and facilities.
- Schedule and oversee contractors for air‑conditioning servicing and maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and ensure consistent stock of spare parts.
- Manage projects to upgrade, improve or replace machinery and equipment for automation or efficiency in line with group direction.
- Perform housekeeping of tools and the workplace to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist the safety coordinator in monitoring workplace activities to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Manage company network, internet and phone lines.
- Support the safety coordinator in maintaining and troubleshooting CCTV and security alarm systems.
- Assist the production team during the production process as needed, while ensuring safety and health protocols are followed.
- Assist in achieving production goals.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing documentation as well as visual inspection of shipments.
- Provide support across maintenance, operations and other areas as needed.
Requirements
- Technical certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience in performing troubleshooting & repair on machine with hydraulic system, pneumatic system.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring, circuits, and safety procedures.
- Able to read and understand the Mechanical & Electrical drawings.
- Have hands on experience on fabrication works in office and production area.
- Able to use AutoCad to draft simple single line drawing for modified machine.
- Able to use Microsoft Outlook, Words, Excel.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous for liaising with Chinese engineering team.
