Responsibilities
- Support and optimize mechanical equipment performance for fiber optic assembly and bonding processes.
- Lead mechanical-related troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to enhance machine uptime, precision, and throughput.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process qualification builds from mechanical readiness perspective.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment and mechanical failures, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Develop and maintain equipment documentation, maintenance procedures, and spare parts lists.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on yield enhancement, cost reduction, and process stability.
- Provide technical training and guidance to technicians and operators on mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
- 3–8 years of experience in fiber optic, semiconductor, or precision assembly manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of equipment mechanics, automation systems, and precision assembly tools.
- Hands‑on experience in machine troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in Amicra machine operation or bonding system setup will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with pneumatics, motion control systems, and cleanroom equipment operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Willing to work or collaborate across multiple sites in Malaysia and the U.S.
