About the role

HBS ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer Protege to join our dynamic team in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Mechanical Engineer Protege, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering operations and contributing to the growth of our company.

What you'll be doing
  • Assist in planning, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Participate in site supervision, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in reviewing mechanical layouts such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
  • Prepare daily or weekly progress and site reports.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (recognized by BEM).
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply under the Protégé Programme.
  • Interested in building services, M&E systems, and project management.
  • Good communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic AutoCAD.
  • Willing to travel or work at project sites when required.
