Our well-established client is a multinational company (MNC) headquartered in Denmark, with a strong global presence in the insulation industry. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be based in either Melaka, Malaysia or China.

Role summary

Regional and factories project management covering vendors technical review, solutions design, fabrications monitoring, FAT, installation, testing, commissioning, SAT, upgrading activities, trouble shooting. Improve process and SHE control efficiency and reliability. AutoCAD drawings, documentation, training and IP management. Perform engineering calculations to support factory design decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Leading / supporting as key players in projects and factory upgrading management.
• Technical and operational evaluations, identify gaps and provide sound solutions.
• Budgeting, technical specifications, briefing, negotiation panel and costing management.
• Time plan with integrated risk management.
• Conduct research, evaluate materials, and analyze manufacturing processes to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional working teams, including electrical engineers, project and production teams, to ensure seamless project executions.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create and modify 2D and/or 3D models.
• Monitoring / tracking with prompt corrective actions.
• Responsible to strategize and provide guidance on the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
• To ensure Preventive and Corrective maintenance in accordance with plans and schedules.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and presentations to provide proactive and constructive communications on findings and project status to stakeholders.
• Compliance to group SHE, MMR and FLPM.
• Quality projects documentations; Operations / MAI manual, training and trouble shooting.
• Periodic reports and information management.
• Stay updated with latest industry trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes.
• Any other jobs as assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experiences & focused on hands‑on technical mechanical work, preferably with experience in maintenance or similar areas.
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar tool.
• Strong engineering projects, utilities, maintenance knowledge.
• Well‑versed in English language.
• Willing to travel for overseas assignment.
• Willing to be based in either Melaka, Malaysia or China.
