Job description

Responsibilities

In charge of mechanical design, development, engineering documentation, design validation, vendor liaise and component selection and manufacturing support of machinery equipment or equivalent.

To understand the nature of the project and produce detailed engineering drawing including keeping track of any changes.

To assist in resolving design issues, generate new design concepts and solutions.

To execute mechanical piece part design, process and tooling verification.

Responsible for existing equipment modification according to customer's need.

To create detail design based on project requirement and standard sourcing.

To explain machine drawing, function and key point to technician team regularly.

To design and draft mechanical and electrical drawings for submission, tender and construction purposes.

To translate customer's requirement into design specification, evaluate design feasibility and provide technical expertise to meet customer's request.

To maintain proper drawing documentation for control and future reference.

To provide technical support to technician team.

Undertake other duties as directed by top management.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably specialized in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
• Required Skill/Knowledge(s): Relevant knowledge in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solid‑works/Good knowledge in engineering processes, standards and safety rules for incorporation into design drawings.
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative to learn and able to interact effectively at all levels.
• Own a flexible attitude towards job assigned and eager to learn new skills.
• Able to plan, organize and prioritize given task.
• Willing to work under extended hours occasionally (if needed).
