Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support new product development and production ramp-up activities. This role involves close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production, while supporting engineering changes, documentation, and shopfloor activities.

This position is suitable for engineers who enjoy hands‑on involvement in both design support and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects and support customer new product trials
• Study and prepare new designs as requested by the superior
• Prepare and deliver engineering presentations and technical reports
• Provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, and Planning teams during supplier discussions
• Support day‑to‑day engineering and technical activities
• Assist production teams during machine assembly, testing, and fine‑tuning
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
• Assist in Design of Experiments (DOE) for new designs
• Collect data and support performance evaluation of new designs
• Prepare work instructions and checklists to standardize new designs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology or related)
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, or manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting production ramp‑up or new product introduction
• Able to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to meet project timelines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Required languages: English & Malay. Mandarin is an advantage
• Positive attitude, detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
