Job Summary

UCSI Schools is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Maths and Science Teacher to join our team and teach across both primary and secondary levels. The ideal candidate will cultivate strong numeracy and scientific inquiry skills, promote problem‑solving and analytical thinking, and inspire curiosity about the natural world, technology, and real‑life applications of Maths and Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum‑aligned Mathematics and Science lessons for primary and secondary students.
  • Design lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in line with national curriculum standards (KSSR/KSSM).
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback, academic support, and intervention where necessary.
  • Create an inclusive, stimulating, and well‑managed classroom environment that promotes active learning, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Integrate hands‑on experiments, STEM activities, problem‑solving tasks, and real‑world applications into daily teaching.
  • Encourage analytical thinking, scientific literacy, numeracy proficiency, and a positive attitude towards Maths and Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity, consistency, and progression in the Maths and Science curriculum across grade levels.
  • Participate in school events, co‑curricular programmes, parent‑teacher conferences, and other school or community activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices, teaching methodologies, and advancements in Maths and Science education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Maths and Science at both primary and secondary levels.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to encourage problem‑solving, scientific inquiry, numerical reasoning, and application of STEM concepts.
