About the role

Sari Kayangan Spa is seeking a skilled and experienced Massage Therapist to join our team at our location near Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Selangor. This is a full-time position, part time or casual offering the opportunity to deliver exceptional therapeutic massage services to our diverse clientele in a luxury spa environment. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing clients with rejuvenating treatments that promote relaxation, wellness and healing, whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care that define our brand.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide a variety of therapeutic massage treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage and other specialised techniques tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their health history, concerns and treatment objectives
• Assess client conditions and recommend appropriate massage therapy treatments to address their specific requirements
• Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment notes and progress documentation
• Ensure all treatment areas and equipment are clean, sanitised and properly maintained according to health and safety standards
• Create a welcoming and therapeutic environment that promotes client comfort and relaxation
• Provide professional advice to clients regarding post-treatment care and self-care recommendations
• Collaborate with other spa professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated wellness services
• Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, confidentiality and ethical practice at all times

What we’re looking for

• Valid professional qualification or certification in massage therapy from a recognised accredited institution (Must hold a recognised Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)
• Applicants without an SKM certificate may still apply; we can assist eligible and experienced candidates with the SKM application process)
• Minimum of 2 years' professional experience as a massage therapist in a spa or wellness environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and the therapeutic benefits of various massage techniques
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities, with the ability to adapt techniques based on client needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for client wellbeing
• Strong physical stamina and dexterity required for delivering hands-on treatments
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and practicing with integrity
• First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to spa and massage therapy practice
