Overview
The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and supports the marketing and brand development of additional revenue growth products across the group. Growth products could include but not limited to a standalone English Language School, Development Academies (after-school paid programmes), school rentals and strategic partnerships. The role will also support the SEO and Website maintenance of our Malaysian schools.
Growth Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to promote each new growth initiative, including (but not limited to) the English Language School, after-school academies, rental programmes, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct market research to define target audiences, value propositions, and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Lead campaign ideation, planning, and execution across multiple communication platforms such as advertising, websites, booking systems, promotional materials, and presentations.
- Establish clear and consistent brand positioning and messaging for each initiative, ensuring alignment with the overall Taylor’s Schools brand.
- Track, analyse, and report on leads, conversion, and revenue performance for each growth product to inform future strategies.
SEO/Website Key Responsibilities
- SEO and GEO Optimization
- Collaborate with our external agency and our Malaysian schools to improve organic search rankings.
- Support our Malaysia schools on an AIO (AI Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy to ensure our brand maintains visibility and authority in AI-powered search environments.
- Collaborate with an external agency on SEO/GEO initiatives, ensuring clear communication of our strategic goals and alignment of their technical work with our overall content and marketing objectives.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO/AIO/GEO trends, tools, and industry best practices.
- Website Updates & Technical Proficiency
- Perform updates of our WordPress websites using the Elementor page builder as required such as Open Day landing page, school fees etc.
- Work with our external agency for more complex website updates.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on website traffic and SEO rankings, making data-driven recommendations for ongoing improvements.
- Regularly audit the website for technical issues, broken links, layout inconsistencies, and content errors.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in brand development and marketing strategy execution.
- Exceptional English language proficiency; strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Meticulous and thorough in identifying and correcting errors in both content and website functionality.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress, including building and editing pages.
- Familiarity with industry-standard SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc).
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in international or private education is a plus.
