Overview

The Marketing Manager (Wound Care) defines market opportunities and customer needs, crafts compelling brand and product messaging, supports sales with essential tools and qualified leads, and continuously refines strategies based on data and feedback.
This role is responsible for driving business growth by contributing directly to revenue and market share through strategic campaigns, pricing, product positioning, and sales enablement.

As the key stakeholder for Bactiguard’s Wound Care business, brand, and product portfolio, the Marketing Manager will serve as the head of the wound care marketing function, collaborating closely with all departments critical to the success of the business unit. The role requires strong cross-country collaboration skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to build and lead effective teams across geographic distances.

Based in Penang, Malaysia
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Strategic Marketing Plan for the full Bactiguard Wound Care portfolio, including new product development initiatives, in alignment with the company’s financial and growth objectives.

Ensure that strategic decisions and product offerings are commercially attractive and grounded in customer insights and market data.

Build and maintain a comprehensive promotional and marketing toolbox to effectively support global business activities.

Train and guide sales teams and distributors to correctly implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and key messages — ensuring global consistency and alignment.

Enhance global advocacy and visibility of Bactiguard Wound Care by positioning the brand on the international stage and driving awareness through targeted initiatives.

Collaborate closely with Regulatory, Medical, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches and readiness for both new indications and new product introductions.

Lead and mentor the marketing team, setting clear priorities and ensuring focus on high-impact activities that contribute to overall business success.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

Prior experience in marketing, business development, or sales within the pharmaceutical, medical technology, or healthcare industry is preferred.

Experience & Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing roles with a proven track record in driving brand and business growth.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams (marketing, sales, R&D, and operations).

Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities and data-driven decision-making approach.
