Job summary

SIM IT Sdn. Bhd. is an IT company in Johor/Singapore seeking an internship candidate to support social media content, basic video editing and campaign execution. You will work with the marketing team to brainstorm, create posts and help with online presence.

The role requires strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, basic design sense, and willingness to learn new tools. Office-based position with meals and parking provided, based in Johor.

Qualifications

• Clear written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia required.
• Capable of writing simple captions, short-form content and professional emails.
• Able to present and explain creative ideas confidently.
• Experience in video editing, storyboarding and content creation is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 2D/3D animation is a plus.
• Awareness of current social media trends and digital content styles.

Responsibilities

• Generate creative ideas for social media content, posters, short videos and digital campaigns.
• Support in video editing and storyboarding for campaigns.
• Assist with content strategy, branding and paid ads awareness (bonus).
• Analyze basic engagement metrics to inform content improvements.
• Collaborate with design, sales and operations teams.

Sim IT Sdn. Bhd. is an IT company located in Johor and Singapore helping small, medium to large companies to establish their IT infrastructure and business systems. Sim IT Sdn. Bhd. was formerly known as Perusahaan Sim IT in 2007 develops and provides products and services such as business management system implementation, system consultation and IT professional training.

\"Sim IT\" defines \"Simplified It\", empowering customers by helping them to reduce their IT burdens in terms of administration, cost, and etc.

Location & commitments

• Allowance : RM800 per month + Lunch will be provided & Free parking
• Office hour : Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Candidate requirements

• Able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English/Bahasa Malaysia
• Can write simple captions, short-form content, and basic professional emails
• Able to present and explain creative ideas confidently

Creativity

• Able to generate creative ideas for social media content, posters, short videos, and digital campaigns
• Strong visual sense in design, layout, and storytelling
• Experience in video editing, storyboarding, and content creation
• Basic knowledge of 2D/3D animation is an added advantage
• Aware of current social media trends and digital content styles

Basic digital marketing knowledge

• Understands how platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube are used for marketing
• Basic understanding of branding, target audience, and content strategy
• Familiar with concepts such as SEO, content marketing, and paid ads (bonus)
• Able to analyze engagement and basic performance metrics

Skills in basic software/tools

• Basic knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut
• Familiar with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
