Job summary

A leading coffee company based in Malaysia, Selangor, is looking for a Marketing Executive to lead product merchandising and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will manage market research, prepare proposals, and oversee various marketing events. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee product merchandising activities, including market research, proposal preparation, target setting, execution, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Conduct market studies to identify merchandising opportunities, customer needs, pricing benchmarks, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop merchandising proposals aligned with brand strategy, sales objectives, and budget requirements.
  • Plan and execute all marketing and customer engagement events, including customer workshops, product launch events, trade exhibitions, customer appreciation events or etc.
  • Manage end-to-end event execution from concept development and coordination to on-site execution and post-event performance review.
  • Coordinate and produce marketing materials including brochures, flyers, presentations, and email newsletters.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance using key metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Production, Supply Chain, and Design.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, media outlets, and advertising partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Executive or similar role.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing principles and digital tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g., CRM tools, email platforms, analytics tools).
  • Experience in B2B, retail, lifestyle related industries is an advantage.
  • Exposure to workshops, exhibitions, product launches, or customer engagement events will be highly valued.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates with relevant working experience in marketing, merchandising, or event management may be considered even if their academic background differs.
  • Experience in SEO, Google Analytics, and social media advertising.
  • Knowledge of design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
