Job summary

A leading retail company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Marketing Executive to develop marketing strategies and manage budgets for various campaigns. This role requires 3-4 years of experience, proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and strong organizational skills. You will coordinate with stakeholders and evaluate marketing campaigns while fostering effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail and excellent people skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans and strategies with the department head.
  • Manage budget and media planning for events.
  • Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders including vendors and sales operations.
  • Prepare and verify content for marketing materials.
  • Liaise with media houses and government bodies.

Job description

Working closely with the head of the department in developing marketing plans and strategies.

Responsible for budget management & media planning, event execution, coordinating and liaising with a range of stakeholders, including vendors/suppliers, sales floor operations, colleagues, and partner organizations.

Take charge of set‑up and all related coordination works, sourcing and securing the best deals for the company.

Basic writing and proofreading copy and content verification with stakeholders, including immediate superior, sales departments, and suppliers.

Coordination with the designer and copywriter on artwork preparation and content checking for Press Release for major events and festive periods.

Coordination on publicity materials, both digital and traditional marketing, such as flyers, newspapers, radio ads, Google Display Network, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, e‑Newsletter, etc.

Liaison with media houses, Government bodies (Ministries & DBKL), and banks.

Liaising with printers, POS Malaysia, and the mailing house to ensure effective distribution of marketing materials and the sales department on promotion and marketing support.

Evaluate marketing campaigns and monitor competitor activities.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Marketing Communication, Advertising, or equivalent.

3-4 years of experience as a Marketing Executive or similar role.

Experience in creating marketing campaigns, marketing strategy, and marketing plan.

Excellent command of verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Attention to detail, strong organizational and planning abilities.

Excellent communication and people skills.
