As a Market Research Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in gathering and analysing market data to provide valuable insights into the financial industry landscape and customer preferences. Your in-depth research and data-driven recommendations will empower our bank to make informed strategic decisions, strengthen our competitive position, and identify new growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the financial industry. Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to keep the bank abreast of market dynamics.
  • Customer Insights: Develop a deep understanding of customer behavior, needs, and preferences through surveys, focus groups, and data analysis. Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations to enhance products and services.
  • Data Collection & Interpretation: Design and execute surveys, questionnaires, and other research methodologies to collect relevant data. Analyze data using statistical methods and data visualization tools to extract meaningful insights.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Track and analyze competitor strategies, products, and market positioning. Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on competitive trends and implications for the bank's business.
  • Industry Reports & Presentations: Prepare detailed market research reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate findings effectively, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and senior management, to align market research findings with business goals and strategies.
  • Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Utilize market data and customer insights to forecast market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and guide long-term business planning.
  • Research Methodology Development: Continuously improve research methodologies and data collection techniques to ensure high-quality, relevant, and reliable market research.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistic, Psychology, Marketing, Business Admin, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with at least 3 years+ in market research, competitive intelligence, or business analytics, preferably within the financial services industry or related sectors.
  • Candidates from market research & insights industry or with experience in market research agencies would be a plus
  • Proficiency in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research, using various tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to derive actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present research findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset to identify research opportunities and propose solutions.
