Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a skilled Underwriter, Marine & Liability, to manage a profitable portfolio aligned with the company’s strategies. You will assess risks, price quotations, and provide technical support to partners while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

You will strengthen relations with agents, brokers, and reinsurers, drive portfolio growth, and contribute to product development and system enhancements through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
• ACII/AMII/ANZIIF or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Minimum 2–5 years underwriting experience in Marine, Liability, or Commercial Lines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriting activities comply with guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely, accurate quotations and technical support to Marketers, Agents, Brokers and Distribution Partners.
• Engage in Market Underwriting through meetings and negotiations to secure profitable business.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurers to support Marine and Liability classes.
• Determine retention levels and ensure reinsurance placement is completed before risk inception.
• Contribute to Business Growth Plan and explore new opportunities, including digital ecosystems.
