Job summary

A leading insurance adjuster company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking candidates with degrees in finance, business, or engineering to survey damaged goods and negotiate claims. Responsibilities include advising on loss minimization, submitting loss advice to insurers, and issuing survey reports. Candidates should have 3 to 4 years of experience, though insurance experience is not necessary as training will be provided. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

• Degree in Finance, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Law, Forensic Science, Engineering, or Building Services.
• Degree in logistics, transportation and insurance.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience.

• Survey damaged goods and negotiate on claimed amounts.
• Advise consignees on loss minimization.
• Submit preliminary loss advice to insurers within 24 hours.
• Issue survey reports after negotiations.
• Investigate theft or pilferage of cargo.

Job description

• surveying the damaged goods, negotiating on the consignees claimed amount

• Suggesting to the consignees in view of loss minimization or to avoid aggravation of loss

• Submitting preliminary loss advise to the Insurers within 24 hours

• Advising the consignee and wherever necessary act, to protect the rights of recovery against parties responsible/liable for the loss

• Issuing survey report after negotiating with the consignees on the claimed amount by convincing them based on damage extent

• To carryout out-turn surveys, pre-loading and loading surveys of project and steel cargoes

• To carryout stuffing and de-stuffing of containers

• To Investigate theft and/or pilferage of cargo and report

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Law, Forensics Science, Engineering or Building Services

• Degree in logistics, transportation and insurance

• Minimum 3 to 4 years working experience

• Insurance or adjusting experience is not essential, full training will be provided
